First off - What is Easter without Easter baskets? The Easter Bunny (aka, Mom) put together some fun baskets this year.
Our cat, Willoughby, thoroughly inspected each Easter Basket and it seemed like they passed his kitty test. He allowed them to stay intact for the kids to open Easter morning! They got some fun Marvel T-shirts, Sketch pads and pencils - also some sidewalk chalk and candy.
So... we just got this gorgeous new dining room set from Ashley Furniture last week:
The biggest reason why I am excited about having this new table is that our family can sit around it comfortably when they come to visit. Chris' parents came up for Easter this weekend and I was so excited to host Easter dinner at our new table!
Dinner was a tasty mix between Gilmore and Huhnke family favorites. I made my grandmother and mother's Cranberry Jello Salad. We also made Green Bean Casserole and Cheesy Potatoes; Huhnke family faves!
There was one thing that I tried with a new recipe that I found on good ol' Pinterest:

Slow Cooker Ham with Maple Brown Sugar Glaze
I've never made a glaze for ham before, so it was fun to learn. Once the food was ready we set the table before gathering around the new center of our home. My mom let me borrow her gold colored chargers. They went great with the our new teal plates.
The meal came together perfectly! It was delicious and there was great company. I'm super happy that we have left overs for a few days!
We hope all of you had a Happy Easter!!
