It has been quite some time since I have written to you all. I apologize it has been so long! We moved across town into a new house Thanksgiving weekend of 2015 and it took a few months to get my internet/computer up and working properly - by then I was hitting the books hard trying to finish my Medical Coding courses (By the way, I did it!) and ended up getting really sick from June - November 2016 thanks to pesky PCOS.
Suffice to say, I never had enough energy to sit down and write on my blog! I have felt overwhelmed about where to pick this back up at - but I'm just going to jump right in and fill you in on a few things before I keep up with the current 2017 times!
I graduated the Medical Billing and Coding program at Career Step in January 2017 and have been trying to pass the CPC exam to become certified. I have taken it a few times and each time I am almost passing. I have been taking practice exams recently and will be retaking it in a few weeks. It's a long 5hr and 40 min exam with tough questions but I'm not going to give up! Now I remember why I hated test taking in school, though!
Chris became the Executive Chef / Kitchen Manager at WyOld West Brewing Company and is rockin' it! The kitchen crew there is a little family that I have loved being apart of when we have them over for parties and game nights. They are a great bunch to work with and I am happy for him - He is getting a lot of creative freedom and even launched a new menu that has been incredibly successful. Super proud wife, here!
Ebin is FIFTEEN now. Let that soak in a little bit. The kid is getting his driver's permit soon and is finishing up his freshman year of high school. He's been working on his art a lot and loves the positive feedback he gets on Deviant Art. He has an explosive imagination and creates worlds, creatures and stories based on his drawings.
Rhiannon is now in middle school - 6th grade! She turned 12 last October and is getting taller by the day. She went to her first dance this year and had a blast with all her friends. Playing volleyball next year is in her plans and she also has been drawing a ton!
Mother's Day was also really nice - We had an early dinner at my parent's house and was happy to have Grandma Wilma there too. I'm so thankful for the strong and loving women in my life that inspire me every day to be better for my own kids.
Well, I think I'll end this here tonight but now that we have caught up a bit I am free to move forward with new blog posts! See you soon!
