Miss Rhiannon Clara turned a whole 10 years old today! It is hard to believe she is already a pre-teen! When I first met this special girl she was only 4 years old and she instantly touched my heart. I am truly blessed to get to call her mine, raise her and watch her grow into a beautiful young woman. She has been craving donuts for a few months now and with all of us eating a lot healthier we kept the donuts at bay but this morning bright and early Rhiannon and I went to the market and picked up some for breakfast. We had her pool party today too this afternoon - some of her best friends got to come and had a blast! After the pool party we made Rhiannon's favorite meal - Tater-Tot casserole at my parent's house with Chris' parents there too. It was delicious and we even got some chocolate cake with rocky road ice cream! Then onto the good stuff: Presents!!!! Find out by watching the video and see our last present for Rhiannon: Since Rhiannon found out Uncle Sean and Aunt Cory were expecting a baby she has been consumed with longing to go and meet the baby! Now that Emmy has arrived Rhiannon has been watching every video and adoring every picture Sean and Cory post! She was so surprised and happy! Best birthday ever! When we got back home we found a present waiting from Grandma Peggy too! We had a long amazing day for our youngest and had a wonderful time celebrating her Birthday with family and friends! Now... to top it off with the song that inspired Rhiannon's name... Ebin is taking 7th Grade Choir in school and had his first concert on Thursday night. I took some video to share with family and friends who couldn't make it. Chris and I are so proud of him and are loving the confidence singing brings out of him. He decided to take choir after stories and showing him awards from when I took choir in middle school and high school - it brought back a lot of good memories for me and it feels good to have something big in common. I even impressed him (which is hard to do with a 12 year old boy!) when I told him about how I student-taught a middle school choir before. Glad that I still get "cool" moments while he is getting to that stage where we become more old school in his opinion. :P Now, onto the videos! Fair warning... I am not the best video taker. I just invested in a tripod so the upcoming concerts of the year will be nice and steady! Afterward, Ebin introduced us to his choir director and pianist and we visted with the kids' Grandma Peggy and their cousins.
